Experience the difference on board the SHOGUN!
An authentic oriental sailboat built entirely in teak wood, originally intended for the private use of an Arab Sheikh. In this exciting experience, we will make several tours of different durations while we go into the sea of Tenerife. Here you will be able to see pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins, protected by international regulations and conventions. We protect the marine environment and are respectful of nature and the animals that surround us at all times. We are members of the “Sustainability Charter” of Turismo de Tenerife and we have the distinctive “Blue Boat” flag. We are also members of the “World Cetacean Alliance” and the “Asociación de Cetáceos del Sur de Tenerife” (ACEST).
The SHOGUN strictly complies with these regulations and has the yellow flag and the blue boat label. These guarantee the sighting of whales and dolphins under the maximum guarantees of protection for these marine species.
Thanks to its privileged geographical location and the influence of the trade winds and the majestic summit of Mount Teide, which acts as a natural barrier, the south of Tenerife and the Canary archipelago enjoy a water temperature of between 17 and 24 degrees all year round.
This constant temperature ensures the permanent presence of numerous species of cetaceans, such as pilot whales, bottlenose dolphins, fin whales, sperm whales, killer whales, beaked whales, spotted dolphins, common dolphins and rough-toothed dolphins, as well as other migratory species.
After being thrilled by the presence of these wonderful animals, we will head to a small cove where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the sea and a well-deserved lunch. The included lunch consists of delicious rice with vegetables, roast chicken thigh, meatballs, coleslaw, bread and fruit. On board you will also have access to water, soft drinks and, during the meal, beer and wine will also be served.
It is important to mention that disabled access is only available for manual wheelchairs, not electric wheelchairs. We want to assure you that the SHOGUN complies with all maritime safety regulations imposed by the Spanish Government, including rigorous periodic inspections. The yacht has all the necessary safety devices and a professional and qualified crew.
